What are the reasons for car accidents in Brooklyn and other areas?

Car accidents in Brooklyn and other sections of New York happen for various causes, most of which are avoidable. Understanding the common reasons can help victims present a stronger compensation case. Some of the most common reasons are:

Distracted Driving: Drivers who, use their phones, or tweak controls need to pay attention to the road, which can lead to severe accidents.

Speeding: Driving faster than the speed limit increases the chance of an accident, particularly in high traffic in congested places such as Brooklyn.

Reckless Driving: Aggressive driving, such as tailgating and dangerous lane changes, frequently leads to accidents.

Drunk driving: Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is a prominent cause of both deadly and nonfatal car accidents.

Running red lights or stop signs: Drivers who disobey traffic signals endanger others.

Poor Weather Conditions: Rain, snow, or ice can make roads dangerous and lead to accidents if drivers do not modify their speed accordingly.

Defective Vehicle Parts: Faulty brakes, tyres, or other automotive components can cause mechanical failure and accidents.

Understanding the cause of your accident is the first step toward developing a solid case with a Brooklyn car accident lawyer. Our legal team performs rigorous investigations to determine the accountable party and obtain the evidence required to prove carelessness.

What is the personal injury claim worth if I have been in a car accident?

Medical expenses: Medical expenses include present and future medical costs, surgeries, hospitalizations, physical therapy, and other essential treatments. Our Brooklyn automobile accident lawyers collaborate with medical professionals to determine the full extent of your injuries and associated costs.

Lost Wages: If your injuries prevent you from returning to work, you may be eligible for compensation for lost income. This includes future earning potential if your ability to work has been permanently compromised.

Pain and Suffering: Car accidents frequently cause physical pain and emotional trauma. Compensation may include damages for the physical and emotional distress you experienced due to the accident.

Property Damage: Your vehicle may have been severely damaged besides personal injuries. Your claim may cover the cost of repairs or replacement.

Disability and Disfigurement: If the accident causes long-term or permanent disability, such as paralysis or scars, further compensation may be granted.

At Siler & Ingber, our Brooklyn car accident lawyers are dedicated to maximizing your compensation. We consider all aspects of your case, including non-economic damages such as loss of enjoyment of life or emotional distress, to ensure that you are adequately paid for your losses.
